
Region 8 - Mora-San Miguel Regional Water Plan
The water planning region encompasses Mora County and the portion of San Miguel County west of Range 24 NMPM. The principal river basins are the Mora River and the Sapello River, tributaries to the Canadian River and the Gallinas River, tributary to the Pecos River. Principal aquifers are associated with the Upper Pecos Basin. The region is bounded on the north by Colfax County, on the west by Taos and Santa Fe counties, on the south by Torrance and Guadelupe counties, on the east by Harding and the portion of San Miguel County east of Range 23, NMPM.
Accepted by the Interstate Stream Commission in 2005.
