The Library of the Office of the State Engineer is a good information resource for history, science, use and management of New Mexico’s water resources. The library is located in Santa Fe at 407 Galisteo Street, in the basement of the Bataan Memorial Building, Room BE02, and is generally open, depending on staffing, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment. Please verify planned closures on the library calendar above. It is open to the public, but visitors are encouraged to call ahead so that library staff can have materials ready. Some of the library’s collection has been cataloged and may be searched in SALSA (System Access to Libraries in State Agencies). Cataloging the collection is an ongoing process, however, and many items are not yet in this online library catalog.
